Geography- based EFL lesson

1.     To identify different countries.

2.     To  understand and  act out a short story

Recycled: Personal Pronouns, the short forms of be in affirmative sentences and questions

Materials:

CD, flashcards 10-18: map of the world

Warmer:

Hold up family flashcards and ask Who is he/she?

Lead-in:

Introduce the vocabulary {flashcards 11-18)

Say all words for children to repeat

Listen, point and repeat:

Ask children to look at the pictures of the flags

Play the recording, pausing for children to listen, point and repeat

Let children practise  acting out the story in groups of three or four

Revision:

Play Quick flash with the countries flashcards to reinforce the words

Further practice:

At home make and cut flags of the world
