Ethno-cultural component in school education of Roma in Latvia.

The responsibility of the family for the education of children.

 

The problem of adaptation of Roma children in the first grade (no pre- school preparation of the kindergarten,   the development of communicative abilities and the higher mental functions,  speech development,  correction of speech defects,  development of social and hygienic habits,  providing free food,  counseling on registration entitlement benefits,  control attendance ).

 

The language barrier between teachers and students.

Cultural differences as a reason for the conflict (children don’t communicate with the teacher in a polite way, go to school with the rings on his fingers,  and so forth.

The problem of intercultural communication (Roma children – children of other nationalities,  the attitude of parents to ensure that the school enrolled Roma children,  the resistance of the parents).
